it's raining in the city...

shoulders hunch against the intruding elements and heels skid between foot and mirrored floor as we, the unprepared, race for refuge.


windows fog with a cloudy warmth that masks the reality of what awaits.


red lights linger longer than ever before, and the trees hush our moans with a cool and constant sssssshhh.


street lights melt into neon rivers that glow as they flow along the black tarmac.


we see rooftops at our feet as fat pigeons find shelter under lone trees.


a makeshift bed of cardboard sits soggy and sad. but then it was always sad; the rain just made us notice
